Sustainable Textile Experience

textile multi media artist & photographer

TUMBISHA means glorify in my mother's homeland language. I have been blessed with this name that defines my purpose in life.

The material matters, what we do with it, how we work with it, why we use it, all of that matters.

We need to breathe more respect and love in all of it if we want to continue to enjoy this life and this planet.

The Jackets

All unique and made by me in my studio in Cornwall.

They are all preloved, vintage pieces selected for their quality

as a blank canvas for me to customise.

And ready to be loved for many more years.

Patch it your way

I use shape, colour, texture and words to share a message of Love, Strength and Kindness for oneself and others.

Commissions welcome

  • Bag XtraLovable

It all started with a bag! Over sized, I want it to be a statement, an art piece completing your every day look.

  • Soft Sculpture

A free style expression of what’s part of my mythology.

  • Tapestry - Collage - Embroidery

These are almost paintings, my hands the brushes, the fabric, the colours and I depict what strikes and touches me.

The Little Dress

This little dress is so much more than a piece of clothing. It was one of my first fashion drawings that I ever made when I was still a kid.

I had the privilege to travel a few times in RDCongo to visit my family and those extraordinaire voyages opened something within me and for the rest of my life I will cherish that space and grow the gratefulness.

The Little Dress is a capsule filled with Love.

Camisole

Organic bamboo ‘vegan silk’ is a closely woven fabric which is lightweight and flowing but gives a heavy, silky drape and a beautiful satin finish. Fabulously versatile and so soft on sensitive skin.

The Camisole is a simple but elegant design with different variations.
